Some activities we used in Early Years linked to the story 'The Papaya that Spoke' using talk for writing. Children used actions to retell the story, made story maps then innvoated the story to create a new story 'the strawberry that spoke.'

Clues and letter for children to go on a Gingerbread man hunt around school. Includes, cloakroom, staffroom, office, dinner hall, gym, music room, story chair, outside and back to Nursery. Also included is labels for the envelopes as each time we found a clue we counted and matched the correct number to the buttons on the envelope.
